Before applying our ideas for our own trailers to our story boards, as a class we practiced using storyboards by drawing in different shot types. I learned that the focus and purpose of story boarding was not to have a specific detailed drawing but to focus on positioning, shot type and vital information to filming.
The story boarding exercise helped me gather my ideas for the actual storyline to my horror and indeed the trailer which helped me to really focus the vision of the creation of my product. Here is a storyboard I completed for my horror movie trailer:
